Regap5 Turntable used by our records to CD service in Bristol

We don’t use those plug in USB turntables that are flooding the market but use high end equipment to get the best results we can from your records. We use Rega Planar turntables with Cedar Audio hardware to enhance the results of the recordings by reducing unwanted pops & clicks on vinyl to CD, along with equipment from Sony, Akai, Sanyo and periphals from goldring, Ortofon and Creative Labs, Denon & JVC, over £20,000 of equipment in total which shows we are passionate about what we do!

There are no shortcuts everything analogue being transferred to digital has to be first recorded in real-time, edited in most cases to ensure the sound file is of a good standard, Generally you will get approx 80 minutes of audio onto a CD, more if you have the CD in an MP3 format, you will need a CD player that will manage your MP3 disc, a PC or DVD player will usually do this but not always your Hi Fi CD player.

We clean all records, even brand new vinyl records benefit from a deep clean before use. The main reason being that release agents are used when pressing vinyl records in production to allow the vinyl to literally ‘unstick’ from the metal press stamps, often a residue of a wax like substance is found in the grooves of the new record, deep cleaning will remove this.

Records that have been played build up dust and debris from the air held by static over the surface, incorrect storage and handling also contribute to a build up of dirt deep in the grooves of a disc so deep cleaning will most certainly assist in producing a better recording from your records and will further extend the life of your stylus.

If your in Gloucestershire and need to transfer your records or cassettes to CD, give us a shout.

If and when you choose to transfer any LP records, Cassettes or Reel to Reel Tapes by us, you’ll only need do it once – you then have your music or audio for many years to come, we don’t charge £35 an hour studio time, but we do charge a fair price for a good job done, and which saves you hours of time and frustration trying to use unfamiliar software and equipment to do your own. Whitley Bay Reel-to-Reel CD transfer Testimony

I’ve just had a 52 year old reel to reel audio tape transferred onto CD by Gary. Great service throughout from my enquiry to getting it returned. Gary kept in touch with me at every stage and I was very happy with everything he did. The tape was me dedicating songs and prayers to my Nana when I was 7 years old and I had never heard it back. Great memories I can keep forever. Thank you so much Gary.

Kent Reel-to-Reel CD transfer Testimony

A year ago, I found in my attic an old reel to reel tape that I had made over 30 years ago. I suspected it would contain some historical gems of home made recordings of family from years gone by. As I had no longer a tape machine, I had to take the risk of sending the 3 hour tape in the post to somebody I did not know, and trust him to do the job. I chose Gary at random from the Internet, and took the plunge! I can report that I am entirely satisfied with the outcome, and the CD that Gary produced from the tape is now a priceless family treasure! More recently , I sent Gary a series of cassettes on which were assembled several hours of interviews with my mother, in which she recalled in detail many stories of her life before she died. Once again Gary delivered the goods in a highly professional and timely fashion, and kept in touch with me at every stage of the process. I am therefore happy to recommend Gary’s business, without hesitation.

Stockport Reel-to-Reel CD transfer Testimony

I cannot thank you enough for the excellent outcome with regard to the transfer of my reel to reel tapes to CD format. These tapes were recorded in the late 60’s not in the best of condition, and I was amazed that you managed to retrieve so much good footage. They brought back so many happy memories of my children when they were small and to hear the voices of my late parents and parents-in-law was an added bonus, which I know my family will enjoy and treasure. The service I received was excellent, the fact that you kept in close contact throughout informing me how you were progressing was reassuring and very much appreciated. I couldn’t have asked for more and consider myself so fortunate to have found your company when searching on the internet. I would not hesitate to recommend you.
